Personally I don't like Mutter. And apart from the Carmen Fantasy, which arguably is her best recordings, I couldn't recall any outstanding recordings she made. But Fischer? She is a breath of fresh air! My choice: Julia Fischer.

Talking about Bach Sonatas and Partitas, have you listened to Nathan Milstein's recording?

Of course. Milstein is the benchmark of Bach's Sonata and Partita. It is a very good version. But I like Grumiaux more - Milstein is a little too "macho" for me.
