Bought these two books (Mahler as a present from Winson and Shostakovich in a recent trip to Taiwan). When can we have such books written by Hong Kong people and published in Hong Kong? They are very good introduction to the symphonies of Mahler and Shostakovich. They are detailed and very well written! Part of the materials represented the programme notes of the Mahler Cycle and the Shostakovich Cycle by NSO in the past two years. When would HKPO have these?
