Sleepless first night
I hardly got any sleep last night. The baby cried whenever we put him down. And because we are breastfeeding him, there was not enough milk for him yet, so I guess he was hungry. We gave up at the end and fed him with Snow Brand Milk Powder. Guess what? He slept from 5am to 8:30am without a break! Awesome, isn't it?

You may want to keep him by your side in the same bed for the first few months (no worries, I know people say that it's a no no, but you know better what's best for yourself and the kiddo), just feed him while both of your are lying on the bed - it takes some time to practice and may not be the best option for new born, but you'll love the idea later - it's just too convenient.
Friendly reminder: formula usually results in overfeeding.

I did for 14 months for my older boy and 16 for the younger one. It just takes some real patience and sleep deprivation in the first few days!! 努力加油！支持你呀！
Once you feed him with the milk powder, it's hard to breast feed again. For the good sake of both the mother and baby, try to persist with breast feeding unless there is really not enough for him.
Sometimes you have to be tough to your baby. Don't always hold and hug whenever he cries. Otherwise, you'll have endless sleepless nights. Keep talking to your baby all the time. Let him know that you're always around. And also let him get used to your voice. This will help in the parent-child relationship build-up in the long run. Good luck!!
