Mandarin Cafe Causette
Went there on Saturday. Nothing was the same as before - the cups, the teapots, the service, the high tea set, the ambience, the seats... Being a nostalgic person (and aging), I of course prefer the old Mandarin Cafe located at the ground floor. And I am not alone - two ladies sitting next to us were "complaining" to the captain about the food. I couldn't agree more.

was the service better or worse?
i have disliked the hotel ever since they have put on all the glass/orangy color thingy as the outer wall, but i guess it's just a matter of time to get used to it. and the fact that they have let chloe moved in on the ground floor has shown that they are becoming a lot more commercial!
Definitely worse la...I asked for Peppermint Tea, they misunderstood it for mint, we asked for decaff tea, they don't know whether they have it...
True!
"Being a nostalgic person (and aging)"....
As usual, complaints come from two tyes of persons: 1)perfectionist; 2)nostalgic ppl!
hahha...
doesn't worth it. i mean to have a nine-month refit..
so, where's the cake shop now? :p~~
The cake shop is just next to the cafe.
aiya.. then no need to shed my $$ there until it's improved
yeah, service just ok, some new faces there and i wonder they have a lot of experience before. i don't like the new look at all.
